Laguna Hills – Sober Holiday Events

Have Sober Fun Through Holiday Resources and Events

2021 marked an all-time high for drug overdose deaths. For those with drug or alcohol problems, the holiday season is dangerous, including people in recovery. Substance use (drugs, alcohol) usually accompany social events and even family occasions.

Holiday celebrations are too often associated with heavy drinking and drug use, especially for people with substance use problems. Memories of past holidays can contribute to heavy drinking and drug use, even for those who use moderately or only on occasion.

Pandemic related social, political and economic problems have become more stressful. Many people look for stress relief as well as renewed pleasure. Consequences from relapse and reckless behavior increase exponentially, even for those who practice a sober lifestyle.

Community events and resources which can divert away from alcohol and drug use are available for everyone.

Orange – Sober Holiday Events

Have Sober Fun Through Holiday Resources and Events

Drug overdose deaths spiked the highest ever in 2021. Holidays are often one of the most dangerous times of year for those with substance use disorders, including people in recovery. Substances- drugs, alcohol- over-use is often an unfortunate part of holiday events.

Heavy drinking and drugs are part of holiday celebration in many situations. For those prone to over doing it, the holidays can be a time of unfortunate consequences. Holiday memories can lead to higher than usual alcohol and drug use, even among intermittent users.

The pandemic with accompanying social, political and economic crises create escalating anxiety and stress. Many look for renewed pleasure and stress-relief in substance use. Negative consequences from reckless drinking or drugging behavior need to be avoided.

Community events and resources which can divert away from alcohol and drug use are available for everyone.

West Hollywood – Sober Holiday Events

Recovery Supportive Activities and Resources for Celebrating the Holidays

The US recorded the all-time highest rate of drug overdose deaths in 2021. The holidays are high risk for people with drug or alcohol problems, including those in recovery. Drug and alcohol use usually accompany holiday events.

Holiday celebrations too often coincide with drug use and heavy drinking, especially for those prone to problems. “Christmas Past” recall contributes to excessive drinking and drugging, even among those who usually do so moderately.

The Covid pandemic brought social, political and economic disruptions which creates stress and anxiety. Many seeking relief and a source of renewed pleasure can increase their risk of consequences from alcohol and drug recklessness. People in recovery can be at risk of relapse.

Community events and resources which can divert away from alcohol and drug use are available for everyone.

Good-Time Resources for Drug and Alcohol Addiction Recovery

2021 recorded the highest escalation of drug overdose deaths. The holidays are dangerous for those with addiction problem, even those in recovery. Drug and alcohol use usually accompany festivities and family gatherings.

Drug use and heavy drinking are common holiday occurrences. Memories of heavily indulgence can lead to even heavier than usual drinking and drugging, even among moderate and intermittent users.

Current pandemic related social, political and economic disruptions have created much higher stress. People look for a source of renewed pleasure and relief from discomfort. Consequences from reckless behavior and drug use grow greater, even for those in sobriety.

Community events and resources which can divert away from alcohol and drug use are available for everyone.

Supporting Your Recovery: Resources for Having Holiday Fun

2021 saw an all-time spike in death from drug overdose. The holidays can be quite dangerous if you have problems with drug or alcohol, even for people in recovery. Alcohol and drug use often accompany social and family events.

Celebration often involves heavy drinking and drug use. Those prone to drinking or using too much are at greater risk problems. Memories the good times where drugs and alcohol worked can boost heavier than usual drinking and drugging.

The social, political and economic disruptions created by the pandemic leaves people vulnerable. People look for relief and a source of renewed pleasure in their drug and alcohol consumption. Increasing exponentially are the chances of more severe consequences from relapse and reckless behavior, even for those practicing a sober lifestyle.
