Sober Holiday Recovery Activities in Orange, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Tustin and Anaheim

Embracing Your Sobriety While Celebrating the Holidays

Holiday social events and friends have often involved drugs and alcohol, which now pose a threat to sobriety or at least a trigger for cravings and obsessions. Sobriety and sober supportive relationships can be strengthened during these times.

When you find yourself feeling tempted or lonely, call a friend or go to a meeting. Writing down a weekly schedule of events and social life, especially over weekends and holidays will help remove downtimes which can be settings for problems.

Remember that you help not only yourself but sober friends when you participate in and try new sober activities with them.
