What is Twin Town Treatment Centers?
Twin Town Treatment Centers is an outpatient addiction treatment provider serving adults and adolescents in Southern California. We specialize in intensive outpatient (IOP), day treatment programs, alcohol and drug use disorders, family support services, continuing care, and coordination with medical and mental health providers.

Are Twin Town programs evidence-based and accredited?
Yes. We are certified by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for substance use disorder (SUD) care and accredited by The Joint Commission. We’re proud that our outcomes show higher completion and abstinence rates than national averages.

Where can I speak to someone at Twin Town if I’m seeking help?
You can call our admissions line at 866-594-8844 any time. We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for initial, no-cost assessments.

What areas do Twin Town Treatment Centers serve?
We have six locations across Los Angeles and Orange County: Los Alamitos, Laguna Hills, Orange, Sherman Oaks, Torrance, and West Hollywood. We serve residents in and around any of our facilities.

What levels of care does Twin Town offer for substance use disorders?
We offer an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Day Treatment, and Continuing Care, as well as coordination with ambulatory detox or medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when needed.

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?
Our IOP involves three hours of treatment per day, up to six days per week, covering abstinence, relapse prevention, disease model education, family communication, and stress management. Patients live at work while undergoing this treatment, allowing them to implement lessons into their life right away and maximizing chances of long-term recovery.

What is Day Treatment at Twin Town?
During Day Treatment, each client is enrolled in up to eight hours per day of intensive outpatient and day treatment programming, up to six days per week. Day Treatment is recommended as a cost-effective alternative to inpatient care for those with highly acute and seriously disabling conditions. It provides full-time treatment care while allowing patients to still live at home.

What is Continuing Care or aftercare?
After completing the primary IOP/Day treatment, clients enter a four-month continuing care phase with twice-weekly sessions, stepping down to weekly support, designed to sustain recovery and prevent relapse.

Are there separate programs for adolescents and adults at each location?
Yes. We offer an adult treatment program for those aged 18+ as well as an adolescent treatment program for those aged 12-17. These programs are conducted in separate rooms by separate counseling staff.

Does Twin Town handle detox or medical treatment?
We don’t offer full inpatient detox on-site, but we can coordinate with affiliated physicians and ambulatory detox programs or MAT providers when needed as part of the initial assessment and referral process.

How do I get admitted to Twin Town Treatment Centers?
Admission begins with a no-cost assessment: screening, biological tests, psychological and social functional assessment, and a review of substance use history. Based on the results, an individualized treatment plan is developed.

Can I admit a loved one for drug and alcohol rehabilitation?
You can absolutely reach out on behalf of a loved one, and we can guide you through the next steps, but admission itself must be voluntary. At Twin Town, all clients participate in treatment by choice, which is essential for meaningful progress and long-term recovery. If you’re concerned about someone’s safety or substance use, we can help you understand available options, schedule an assessment, and connect your loved one with the appropriate level of care. Our team also offers guidance for families on how to encourage a loved one to seek help while maintaining healthy boundaries and support.

Who is eligible for treatment at Twin Town?
Adults and adolescents who meet the criteria for substance use disorder and can benefit from outpatient-based care are eligible. They must be medically stable (or referred for detox/MAT if needed) and able to attend outpatient services.

Can I attend Twin Town while working or in school?
Absolutely! Our IOP and Day Treatment schedules include options like morning or evening sessions so that clients can continue with work or school and practice recovery in their real-life environment.

Will insurance cover my outpatient rehab?
Generally, yes. Twin Town is in-network with most HMO, PPO, EPO, and managed care plans (excluding Kaiser). Many insured patients have their care covered minus a deductible or co-pay.

What does treatment cost if I’m paying myself?
The exact cost depends on your chosen program and needs, but for a general idea, a five-month program averages about $4,800. Twin Town bills for the first phase of treatment and provides four months of professionally run continuing care to those completing initial goals at no additional cost. Self-payment arrangements and payment plans are available.

Do you provide quotes or verification of benefits?
Yes, we can verify benefits and estimate your cost ahead of enrollment to avoid surprises.

What does a typical treatment day look like at Twin Town?
In IOP, clients might attend 3–6 hours per day in structured sessions (group counseling, individual sessions, educational modules) up to six days per week. Day Treatment involves longer hours (up to 8–10 hours) depending on need.

Can I continue living at home while attending Twin Town?
Absolutely. Since it is outpatient treatment, clients live at home or in their regular environment and attend treatment while maintaining many of their daily responsibilities.

How is family involvement integrated into the schedule?
Family programming is built into the treatment phases. There are multi-family groups, lectures, discussions, and individual family sessions designed to help relatives understand addiction, boundaries, communication, and recovery strategies.

What kind of aftercare does Twin Town offer?
Twin Town offers a continuing care phase after primary treatment. It lasts approximately four months, with gradually reduced frequency of sessions to help maximize the chances of long-term recovery. We also operate an alumni group and monthly follow-ups.

How does Twin Town help prevent relapse long-term?
We emphasize abstinence, relapse prevention education, integration into community-based 12-step or mutual help groups, regular drug/alcohol testing, and coordination with support services. Outcome data show our approach yields higher success rates than the national average.

Can I return to Twin Town if I relapse?
Of course. We offer a Relapse Track of ten IOP sessions for adult or adolescent individuals who have completed the program previously and experience relapse.

What role does family play in treatment at Twin Town?
Family is considered part of the illness and recovery process. The Family Program provides education and support for family members, helping them address codependency, communication, and how to support a loved one in recovery.

Can family members attend sessions or therapy?
Yes. Family sessions are offered individually or as part of multi-family groups, often as part of Phase I IOP and continuing throughout treatment.

Is there a support network after treatment for family and alumni?
Yes. We offer an alumni network and regular family and client follow-up to maintain connection, encourage ongoing participation in self-help groups, and support long-term recovery.

Is Twin Town licensed and accredited for addiction treatment?

How does Twin Town protect my confidentiality?
As a treatment provider for substance use disorders, we adhere to HIPAA and federal confidentiality regulations and ensure private and secure handling of assessment, records, and treatment information.

What happens if I have a co-occurring mental health condition?
This is very common in patients suffering from substance use disorder. We coordinate with community-based mental health providers, refer to appropriate levels of care, and integrate co-occurring disorder treatment into our plans when needed.
